After a long time waiting.. at last I have new set of Pirelli ATR on the Disco 3. Bob Jane T mart says run front and back at 40 PSI.. higher than LR suggest.

Any comments or suggestions?

Cheers

I take it you have the 18" rims. 40 psi should be ok on the road but too hard for offroading. Maybe try somthing between the two. What pressure does LR recommend? I would try 30psi offroad but you have to be careful going to low with low profile tyres so you don't damage the rim.

Hi Glen.. many thanks for your comments.
Land Rover suggest 35F/38R or something similar.
I was concerned about excessive wear in the crown of the tire.

I would not be to concerned about a couple of PSI, do you use a calibrated tyre pressure gauge?

40psi should be fine for most tyres on road, 32-34psi off road hi speed driving , 28psi for rocky low speed off roading and 18-20psi for sand.

Every one has there own special tyre pressures that they run.

All tyres have different run pressures.

Yes.. I used to be an instrument fitter.. have a very accurate pressure gauge made into a tyre pressure gauge. 1% accuracy at F.S.D.

Many thanks for your reply.
